until the second semester
I felt like a huge gap
in my sculptural practise
as I considered and
still consider it as
my main one
I struggled to reconnect with it
then since I bought
a bunch of foodtrays
at Mevius
as these objects seems
to me
something special by
their aspect
I kept these objects
then firstly I used two foodtrays
by superimposing them
one reversed above the second one
then I created a flat object

I was also spray painting them
then
these objects became more as
panels on which
I put my drawings
in order to get a
drawing support object

It also occured
to me
for the first
assessment
as these objects
could also get a
more interesting
sculptural aspect
which I think
started by this installation
in which
I created with
these
plastic curtains offices
an installation to
present my
"AlluPatternSmileyVideo"

Here these
long grey plastics stripes
on which I did
acetone transfers of
my geology schemes
patterns collection
is also associated by these
smileys stickers and
one grey foodtray

Second semester:
I decided to use
or re-use
the foodtrays objects
by sanding their
spraypaint colour
in order to get
their original colour
by this way I started
to emphasize their
sculptural potential
and therefore
to reconnect with
my sculptural practise

Then as simple as
moving my studio table
to get more free space
make me realize that I was
starting to reconnect
with spatiality with
these objects
I started to think of putting
next to each other these
foodtrays objects
Then this project of creating a big floor slab emerged to me

My goal was
later to
make concrete castings
of these foodtrays
in order to
multiply the quantity
of these objects
and then occupying
a whole room floor

to get a better sharped
perception of what it could
look like

this floor sculpture idea

Also
months before thinking
about this floor project
this idea of
integrating speakers
into the foodtrays
poped-up
in my mind
during a
semi-sleep moment
The reason why is
still a bit unkown
even for me
but as tecno music
as an overwhelmed
influence on me
I assume these idea
is related to it

This idea of a sculptural floor
by castings these objects
came also from
the fact that I couldn't
find and buy them
remembering the frustration
of the day I came to
Mevius to buy more
foodtrays
but no ones left
I also decided new
objects
also related to a kitchen
service environnement
which are these white palstic objects
where their original function is to keep warmed meals on foodtrays or in microwave

As the same making way
I did for the foodtrays
I reversed them above
each other
then by stacking
the whole bunch
I integrated a
boomer speaker in
one of them
to finally get this
tower
pillar object
which I wanted to put on
this foodtrays floor

This foodtrays floor
is a future piece
in which I'd like
later
to engage a
scenographic
performative
aspect of
my practise

This wish of
engaging these
mediums
starts from
this video
I shot last year
in which
in the foreground
I'm moving my
sculptures as
they're
inanimated
comedians
in the background
my father is
sweeping off the
dust floor
